This is a modern-style clock that I chose myself.
When I first opened the box, what I saw was a surprisingly large black circular object. At first glance, it felt very simple, but once I took a closer look, I noticed that the finish was actually quite nice.
The entire surface of the clock is a black, mirror-like face that reflects light subtly. After plugging it in, the hour and minute hands appear as small white dots, standing out quietly against the dark background.
To me, this clock feels very minimal. It doesn’t try to draw attention to itself, yet it adds a modern, clean presence to the space. It’s one of those pieces that blends in naturally, but still changes the feeling of the room in a quiet way.
On the back of the clock, there’s a power port and a small button for adjusting the time. It can be hung on the wall, or you can open the triangular stand on the back and place it on a table instead — which I think is pretty cool.
What I really like is that it’s not just a clock. It also works as a wall light.
There’s a touch button on the top of the clock face. With one tap, a soft ring of light turns on around the clock. Tap it again, and the light turns off. The operation is very simple and intuitive.
The light itself is a warm yellow tone. It’s not meant to fully light up a room, but it works well as ambient lighting and adds a nice decorative touch. When the light is on, the small white dots on the clock face light up as well, making the time easy to see even in the dark.
I currently have it hanging on the wall in our upstairs living area. In the evenings, I usually turn the light on — it adds just enough warmth to the space without feeling too bright.
Hope this little share brings a bit of warmth to your day. 🌱
